Alert Issued After Man Critically Stabbed On Metrobus In Northwest DC

A reward is being offered as Metro Transit Police Department investigators continue their search for a man who stabbed a rider on a MetroBus repeatedly over the weekend.

At approximately 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, police say that a bearded man (see above) stabbed a someone while aboard a 31/33 Route Metrobus near the intersection of 34th Street NW and Wisconsin Avenue NW.

The man was stabbed repeatedly and rushed to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. It is unclear whether he had been discharged as of Monday afternoon.

Anyone with information regarding the wanted suspect or has information regarding the stabbing has been asked to contact investigators at Metro Transit Police in DC by calling (202) 962-2121 or texting 69873 and referencing case number 2023-12942.

A reward of $1,000 is being offered by police for information that leads to the stabbing suspect's arrest and prosecution.
